This morning I had every intention of stopping at Starbucks on my way to work. There’s one really close to my office, so once I’m safely past the rush hour traffic, I can take it easy with my coffee and a bagel or whatever until I have to be at the office. So that was the plan for today, except as I was driving, I noticed a little bagel place in a shopping center that I drive past all the time, but never shop at. I debated the possibilities until the last possible moment (I guess they do carryout … what if their coffee isn’t good? … well, won’t make too much of a difference … hope they aren’t too expensive … well, that wouldn’t be any different than Starbucks) and WOOSH, I made it into the parking lot in the nick of time.
The place was fantastic! The coffee was great! The prices were … comparable. Better than higher, though, right? There wasn’t a long line, and the bagel was larger than what I would have gotten at Starbucks. The people were friendly. I think I found my new favorite place for my morning-commute coffee.
Today’s lesson: Even if it takes longer and runs the risk of being more expensive or strangely different … try it. The world is huge, and there are lots of things to experience in it - from bagels and coffee to new friends to new jobs to foreign lands and food.

Just as i was about to be offended by your rat against Starbucks i caught sight of that disclaimer. Just as i was about to swear off of all things Mind Sprocket, you satiated my burning hurt you inflicted against my idol. Thank you. Those five sentences in point 8 font have appeased me.
Nice post. I liked it.
