Dangerous Life

February 16, 2009 — by Lindsey Charlton

Found this quote posted elsewhere and thought it was awesome:

“Love, like all arts, as Oscar said, is quite useless. It is the useless things that make life worth living, and that make life dangerous, too. Wine, love, art, beauty. Without them life is safe, but not worth bothering with.”

From Moab is my Washpot

This is a quote from some guy named Stephen Fry. I’ve never heard of him, but when I went to his website and saw his picture, I recognized him … still not sure where exactly from, but whatever. Seems like an interesting website to visit, so clicky clicky the link and get on it!

Stephan Fry has been in IQ, Jeeves and Wooster, Fry and Laurie etc. He was one half of the duo ‘Fry and Laurie’, the other half being Hugh Laurie.

And i would argue that nothing is useless if it brings a glimpse of God into the world, as all arts do.

An interesting website indeed. He seems like a nice guy.

P.S. I don’t consider love a useless thing. Over the weekend, people bought a lot of candy & flowers to give to their special someone. Love helps stimulate the economy.

Sometimes the truth is
Not what you want it to be.
Is it ever what you expected?
No, probably not.
Are you okay with that?
Are we meant to create truth or
Are we meant to find it?
