Where the Mind Sprocket staff writes about inspiration, communication, culture, storytelling, and more.

The Back Page is where the feet go up on the desk at the end of the day. It’s that good book with a mug of hot cocoa just before bed. It’s where we goof off after a hard day’s work. The Back Page is our blog.

Giving of thanks.

Tomorrow?  Thanksgiving here in America.

Food. Family. Fun.

What are your plans? Or even non-plans?

Don’t get me wrong, not having plans are just as acceptable.

You’ve probably planned your dinner menus with turkeys, hams, potoatoes, pomegranates, squashes, pumpkins, cranberries, broccoli already, so I won’t bore you with lists of recipes that would probably now be useless to you.

Whatever you do, the tradition is centered around being thankful for where we are in life. Whether we’re with family, or just the cat, we’re supposed to be okay with where we are.  This is suited for the moment.

May you find things to be thankful for this Fall season.

Sometimes the truth is
Not what you want it to be.
Is it ever what you expected?
No, probably not.
Are you okay with that?
Are we meant to create truth or
Are we meant to find it?
